The cabin and property were immaculate and very well maintained. The fishing was pretty good despite the extreme cold front we experienced! (The water temperature dropped 14 degrees in one week). In summary, a wonderful relaxing stay. Cliff works hard so you can catch fish. D. prepared delicious smoked trout. Only downside: the lakes were farther away than expected. It took us about an hour and twenty minutes to reach certain lakes and start fishing at a good pace.

What an experience! Five wonderful days of fishing, with each day offering a different and exceptional experience. Walleye, walleye, Northern pike, lake trout… Even the big ones that got away made for great fishing stories. The roads are sometimes rough, but passable with a good truck and an experienced driver. Most of the time, we were alone on these magnificent lakes. Cliff and Deb were charming hosts, attentive to our well-being.

We used the resort boat landing to fish lake trout on Raleigh lake. Even though we were not guests staying at their resort (hence the four stars), the owners were fantastic at letting us use the landing (for a fee) and offered tips where and how to fish lake trout. He even filleted our fish upon return which we didn't expect. If we come back to Canada, this would be one of the first places I will check for our next vacation. They have access to lakes that offer other fishing. Great service, thank you.
