The outfitter
Crow Lake Outfitters is an outfitter located in Nestor Falls, in the Sunset Country region of Northwestern Ontario. Managed by Todd Lougheed and Tanis Fretter, the company offers a remote wilderness fishing experience. Access to the two outpost camps, located on Penassi and Loonhaunt Lakes, is provided by the outfitter's own fleet of floatplanes. The crystal-clear waters of these isolated territories are home to a diverse fish population. Anglers can target walleye, lake trout, and northern pike on both lakes. Loonhaunt Lake also offers smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing. To maintain the quality of the fishery and preserve trophy fish,

the outfitter enforces a strict catch-and-release policy, while allowing on-site consumption for fresh walleye shore lunches. Taking fish home is prohibited. Accommodations consist of rustic pine cabins nestled under the trees. For excursions on the water, the outfitter provides 14- or 16-foot aluminum boats equipped with 4-stroke Yamaha motors and elevated swivel seats. Essential equipment is provided, including life jackets, nets, bait buckets, boat cushions, and oars. In winter, Loonhaunt Lake remains open for ice fishing. Visitors can relax and warm up by the wood stove or in the sauna after their day on the lake.
