Pourvoirie Broadback is an all-inclusive fly-in fishing camp tucked deep in the Cree territory of Eeyou Istchee, north of Oujé-Bougoumou and 100 km north of Chibougamau. The camp sits on Lac Assinica (93 km²), at the heart of the Réserve faunique Assinica (8,885 km²): you have the water entirely to yourself, in true boreal solitude. Fishing is the star here — abundant walleye and northern pike, plus giant brook trout in the river. Every package begins with a night at the Auberge Capissisit in Oujé-Bougoumou, followed by a roughly 30-minute (80 km) Air Tamarac floatplane flight to the camp. On

site: new propane-heated cabins (2 people per cabin), electricity, running water, hot-water showers, American plan (3 meals a day, shore lunch), an experienced guide, a boat with a 25 hp motor, and Starlink / Wi-Fi communications. Three packages of 4, 5 or 8 nights. The camp's roots reach back to the 1950s, when anglers fly-fished for brook trout on the river; the season later lengthened thanks to the exceptional walleye and pike fishing of Lac Assinica.
