Good to know
Camp Falaise is a remote fishing outfitter in Nord-du-Québec, set right on the first rapids of the Falaise River, one of the main tributaries of the Caniapiscau Reservoir. The only way in is by floatplane or helicopter: the camp hosts small self-sufficient parties on the European plan, who arrange their own transport, meals and fishing days. The site gathers a kitchen building, two four-person cabins, a guides' cabin, an owners' cabin and a workshop — eight beds at the water's edge, with a boat, a motor, a freezer and a smokehouse on site. The surrounding lakes and river hold northern
pike, native brook trout, ouananiche, lake trout and splake; the non-exclusive-rights territory is also hunted, for black bear and wolf. The season opens on June 1 and runs into the fall.
