Pourvoirie Coin Lavigne is one of the oldest outfitters in the Lanaudière region, in Saint-Côme. First a waystation for lumberjacks until the late 1940s, it is today a family-run outfitter operated since 2009 by Mylène and Sylvain. Its name comes from the location of the reception building, at the corner (coin) of the Lavigne and L'Assomption rivers. Set in the mountains, it has eight lakes filled with wild and stocked trout (brook trout and rainbow trout), with stocking twice a week in the summer season and one lake stocked with trout of 2 pounds and up in May and June.
On offer are ten chalets with electricity along the two rivers (capacities of 4 to 10 people), eight chalets right on the lakeshore, plus five two-service campsites. The reception building includes a snack-bar restaurant with a bar and two upstairs rooms, gasoline, fishing tackle, and motor and battery rentals. Beyond fishing, you can hunt moose (exclusive territory), bear and small game, and go snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking and pedal-boating. In winter, the outfitter becomes a snowmobile waystation offering food service and gasoline, and also gives access to ATV/quad trails.
Pourvoirie Coin Lavigne is among the oldest outfitters in the Lanaudière region, located in Saint-Côme. Its name stems directly from its geographic location at the crossroads of the Lavigne and L'Assomption rivers. Unlike many establishments of the era that belonged to private American clubs, the site first served as a retreat and relay station for loggers until the late 1940s. The outfitting business officially began in 1955 thanks to Ovila Pelletier. At that time, the estate offered its first activities with four cottages accommodating a total of 25 people. Over the decades, approximately six successive owners have taken turns maintaining
and developing the territory. In 2009, Mylène and Sylvain Turenne acquired the estate. Upon their arrival, the owners undertook the modernization of infrastructure and the progressive reconstruction of accommodations, beginning with the Chalet du Trou, followed by the construction of new cottages such as the Boréal, the Castor, and the Paul. Today, the outfitter has a total capacity of 180 people, divided between ten electrified cottages located at the main site along the rivers and eight secluded cottages bordering the territory's lakes.

Very nice small outfitter where the staff is always smiling and dynamic. The owners' two daughters (Annabelle and Rosalie) were able to give us fishing advice and suggestions (fishing spot, fly type, motor speed). They are proactive, attentive to customers and always with a smile. The maintenance/garage attendant is very helpful; we had a small issue with some equipment and he lent us the necessary tools for the repair. We had a cabin by the reception on the banks of the Lavigne River. Small, calm river, crystal-clear water where you can go swimming (careful, slippery rocks). Comfortable and very well-equipped cabin. Our cabin was for 10 but we were 7 (I must admit that 10 in the cabin is tight). Doggies are allowed in the cabins. Otherwise, the road to get to the outfitter is paved and the roads within the outfitter are convenient. In short, we will definitely go back. p.s. buy your worms directly at the outfitter, they are cheaper than in the village of St-Côme.

Very nice place. We visited the outfitter as 5 high school friends and spent the weekend in the Orignal cabin and fished at Lac en Coeur. Several people say in their reviews that there were a lot of people on the lake at the same time, but personally, I didn't think so (we were 8 rowboats max). We caught our limits and the fishing there is very enjoyable. Access roads are well maintained. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The river running right in front was superb. Rosalie was very welcoming and gave us excellent service - both upon arrival and departure. We're definitely coming back!
