The history of Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc began in 1994-1995 when the owner acquired 5,000 acres of land belonging to his family in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. The first developments included the construction of twelve cottages as well as a lodge housing reception and dining services. The resort officially opened its doors to guests in 1995. As early as 1997, the outfitter developed partnerships with travel wholesalers to welcome European clientele during the summer, autumn, and winter seasons. Between 2001 and 2003, the estate expanded with the acquisition of an additional 2,000 acres of land. This development phase was marked by the addition
of three superior rooms, a private lounge, and a bar at the lodge, the remodeling of the dining room and kitchen, as well as the construction of a sugar shack and a Shore Lunch area. Multi-use trails and an Indigenous site were also created, and two bathrooms were integrated into each cottage. In 2007 and 2008, the lodge was expanded with a hotel-style reception and six country-style rooms. From 2009 to 2010, the outfitter built an indoor aquatic center featuring a pool, spa, sauna, and exercise equipment, topped by four new rooms on the upper floor. Infrastructure continued to evolve with the renovation of the family cottage in 2011, the modernization of bedroom furniture in the accommodations in 2012, and then a new expansion of the main lodge in 2019, including three additional country rooms and a kitchen extension.

A lovely break during the road trip. Quiet and nature await. The cabins are cozy and warm. A minor downside for the pillows which were too flat. The restaurant is decent, it's nice to eat local trout. The walks within the outfitter are very pleasant. We didn't have the luck to see the beavers.
