Formerly Pourvoirie Duplessis, Pourvoirie Québec Azimut is now under new ownership and watches over a vast 104 km² exclusive-rights territory in the heart of the Haute-Mauricie, at Baie Coucoucache north of La Tuque. More than 20 lakes and the large Réservoir Blanc, along with the Rivière Jolie, offer fishing for brook trout, lake trout, walleye and pike. On the hunting side, the territory is known for moose (zones 26 and 28, exclusive sectors of about 12 km², 7-night stays) and also hosts small-game hunting (hare, ruffed grouse, woodcock) as well as, in some seasons, black bear hunting. Lodging is on
the European plan in a welcoming inn and ten fully equipped rustic cabins, most of them waterfront, with access to on-water activities (kayak, pedal boat, floating trampoline) and ATV trails. Families are welcome: children 12 and under stay free and teens get reduced rates. The outfitter is reachable by car via Route 155 and then maintained forest roads, or by train thanks to the Duplessis station stop at the doorstep of the territory.
Formerly known as Pourvoirie Duplessis, Pourvoirie Québec Azimut has embarked on a new chapter of its history under a new administration. Today, the establishment is built on the vision of two nature and outdoor enthusiasts who together bring over thirty years of experience to the field. The outfitter's management is led by Francis Bouillon and Stéphane Deneault. Francis Bouillon, a former National Hockey League player who played over fourteen seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, is an avid hunting and fishing enthusiast also known for his participation in the TV show Expédition Extrême. He is partnered with Stéphane Deneault, a seasoned
businessman working in the agriculture, heavy machinery, and real estate sectors, who has been hunting and fishing since his youth. The team's mission is to revitalize this vast territory located in the Baie Coucoucache sector, north of La Tuque in Upper Mauricie, focusing their efforts on wildlife conservation, quality of service, and site modernization. This commitment is reflected in the constant improvement of the estate's infrastructure, including the development of the main lodge and the renovation of cabins, such as the updates to the Jolie cabin and the expansion of cabin number 2.

Pourvoirie Québec Azimut is established on a 104 km² exclusive rights territory located in Baie Coucoucache, north of La Tuque in the Mauricie region. The estate spans wildlife management zones 26 and 28 and features over 20 lakes, in addition to being bordered by the Réservoir Blanc and the Rivière Jolie. The natural environment is characterized by mature boreal forest, burns of various ages, marshes, and numerous wetlands. The water bodies are home exclusively to wild indigenous fish populations, as the outfitter does not perform any stocking. Aquatic species present include brook trout (speckled trout), lake trout (grey trout), walleye,
and northern pike. The weed beds, shallow bays, and deep pools of these lakes provide a varied habitat suited to each species. On land, the wildlife is dominated by moose, which benefit from abundant food and diverse habitats resulting in high population density. Black bear is also well-established in this dense forest cover. Finally, the territory hosts a diverse small game population composed of snowshoe hare, ruffed grouse (partridge), and woodcock, a migratory bird that frequents the large wooded expanses.
Pourvoirie Québec Azimut offers a wide selection of activities focused on fishing, hunting, and vacationing. Sport fishing is practiced on the Réservoir Blanc, the Rivière Jolie, and over 20 exclusive lakes in search of walleye, pike, lake trout, and speckled trout. 14-foot motorboats with gasoline and a full tank included are provided depending on the chosen package. Hunting trips cover several species. Moose hunting is carried out with firearms, bows, or crossbows on exclusive sectors of approximately 12 km² equipped with salt licks and roofed blinds. Black bear hunting takes place at baited sites equipped with ground blinds, with access
to a cold room at the reception. Small game hunting (ruffed grouse, snowshoe hare, woodcock) takes place along logging roads and trails, and hunting dogs are welcome. For vacationers and family stays, several water facilities are available: canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, paddleboards, swimming, and a floating trampoline. Visitors can also enjoy hiking, personal ATV riding, berry picking in season, or wilderness camping. The cabins offer outdoor fire pits and BBQs, while the main lodge features a bar with TV, a covered terrace, and free Wi-Fi access. The site is accessible by vehicle or by ViaRail train stopping at the Duplessis station.

Nous sommes venus chercher paix, apaisement et parties de pêche et ce fût ce que nous avons trouvé. Bel accueil des gestionnaires et des propriétaires. Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre séjour en villégiature. Juste déçue que toute ma famille ait vu une ourse et son petit...mais pas moI !!!

Un vrai paradis, un séjour mémorable avec des prises incroyable. Pêche exceptionnelle au doré et à la truite grise en juillet. Les nouveaux propriétaires effectuent beaucoup de travaux de rénovation de leurs chalets et un grand merci à l'équipe Francis, Mélanie, Stéphane et Normand pour un service professionnel et sympathique.
