The outfitter

Quoquochee Plein Air is a family-run camp tucked into Haute-Mauricie, on the shores of the Réservoir Blanc and Lac Flamand, a sprawling waterway navigable across 125 km through its many tributaries (Lac Flamand, Rivière Flamand, St-Maurice, Windigo, Jolie, Pierriche, and the wide Mctavish white-fish bay). Established in 1948 and run by the same family for three generations (the Quoquochi and Hébert families), the site offers two lodging areas: the Lac Flamand campground (85 sites in a natural setting, a fine-sand beach, five motel units and two rustic cabins) and the Mc Tavish cabins (three wood-stove rustic cabins, sleeping 4 to

The territory also supports moose and bear hunting, along with outdoor activities (canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, wild-berry picking, campfires) and, in winter, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and ice fishing. Self-guided by default, with a guide service and boat rentals available on-site.
