About

Discover Rowdy Lake Camp

The outfitter

Replacing the hustle and bustle with the serenity of Northern Ontario, Rowdy Lake Camp is an exclusive American Plan site managed for 35 years by the Dafcik family. Accommodating a maximum of 10 guests at a time, the camp features two log cabins equipped with 24-hour solar power and full bathrooms. A cook prepares home-cooked meals, including shore lunches. Anglers have access to five pristine lakes to track walleye, northern pike, lake trout, and smallmouth bass.

Territory and geography

Nestled in the heart of Woodland Caribou Park and integrated into the Sturgeon River system, the camp occupies a completely isolated territory. Rowdy Lake spans 12 miles with emerald green water, carved by bays, numerous islands, and impressive waterfalls such as Sydney Falls. The southern section features deeper waters suitable for lake trout. As the only establishment on this body of water, the camp offers exclusive access via portage or a short walk to four other remote lakes (Babe, Sydney, Joyce, and Outlet), providing a diverse network in the middle of the wilderness.
