Discover Spruce Island Camp, ULC

The outfitter

In operation since 1965, Spruce Island Camp welcomes vacationers from the third Saturday in May through October. Located on an island in the middle of Lake of the Woods, the camp offers accommodations in cabins that are regularly updated to ensure your comfort. In the quiet bays surrounding the island, anglers target walleye, pike, bass, and trophy muskie. The territory also offers hunting for deer, bear, grouse, and migratory birds. Freezers are available free of charge to store your harvest until departure.

Territory and geography

The camp occupies a secluded central position on Lake of the Woods, in the heart of Ontario's Sunset Country. Surrounded by the lake's waters and several neighboring islands, the territory is located near the Aulneau Peninsula, a wilderness area where hunting is conducted with primitive weapons. Far from the mainland and sheltered from high boat traffic, the sector offers a quiet environment bordered by peaceful bays. Access to the site is by boat only.
