The lodge is accessible by car, located approximately 5.5 hours from the border at International Falls. Coming from Vermillion Bay via Highway 105 North toward Red Lake, simply take Highway 125 and travel 43 miles north on Nungesser Road. It is also possible to arrive via commercial flight to Red Lake Airport, where a one-hour shuttle service to the site is provided.

Owned by Bob and Bonnie, Stormer Lake Lodge is the only accommodation established on Stormer and Kirkness Lakes near Red Lake. This drive-in estate offers exceptional fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch, as well as black bear and moose hunting. Guests stay in modern waterfront cottages featuring fireplaces, full bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and private decks. The main log lodge welcomes anglers for three delicious homemade meals daily and warm moments of relaxation.

Territory and geography

Located in Northwestern Ontario, one hour north of Red Lake, Stormer Lake Lodge enjoys a semi-remote location in the heart of the boreal forest. It holds the distinction of being the only establishment on Stormer Lake, situated on Blue Heron Bay, while also benefiting from direct boat access to Kirkness Lake. This wilderness territory is characterized by its pristine, fish-filled aquatic environment. While offering a complete change of scenery in the middle of the northern wild, the site remains accessible by road via Nungesser Road.

Les nouveaux propriétaires, Bob et Bonnie, sont vraiment formidables ! Le personnel (au lodge et au quai) était extrêmement sympathique et serviable. Le lac et la qualité de la pêche parlent d'eux-mêmes. Ce sont vraiment les gens qui ont rendu ce séjour si spécial. La nourriture au lodge était excellente et copieuse. Les paniers-repas pour le bateau étaient plus que suffisants et témoignaient du soin et de l'attention apportés à leur préparation. Bravo ! Randy et moi reviendrons, c'est certain.
