We have been coming to fish in Canada for over 15 years, and the vast majority of those stays have been at Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge. Every year, Todd, Paul, Syd and their team welcome us warmly, as if we were family, and even treat us better than the others! Their work on the island and in the facilities speaks to their integrity and family business values. Their availability, generosity and passion for the Canadian Shield are obvious! First-class service and an exceptional representation of the fishing community.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at Tamarack for the Ladies Tamarack Takeover event! Todd, Paul, Cid and Andrew make a wonderful team: welcoming and lovely. The 2026 girls' trip to Tamarack Island Wilderness Lodge was a wonderful experience. I spent three incredible days ice fishing and I couldn't have dreamed of a better place. The staff was extremely welcoming, attentive and truly passionate about making sure everyone had a great time! A special thanks to Todd, Cid, Paul and Andrew. At first, we didn't know each other, but by the end of the trip, we had become real friends. Their kindness, humor and availability made this experience unforgettable! One of the best parts of this trip was meeting this group of exceptional women. I found a new group of friends with whom I am certain to stay friends for many years to come. Can't wait for next year!

The cabins are small traditional rustic cabins, a bit old, but with everything needed for a fishing crew. The location, docks, boats, equipment and service are excellent. The fishing is incredible: smallmouth bass, walleye, pike and musky are abundant there. We all caught fish every day! There is a cozy restaurant lodge where you eat very well. Personally, I love this place!
