Auberge la Barrière is a trout-fishing outfitter in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie, in the Lanaudière region. Its 20 km² domain holds 8 fishable lakes, including 3 big-trout lakes, and offers 5 trout varieties: brook/speckled, rainbow, brown, Arctic char and the exclusive 'Golden' trout. Lodging is in 11 furnished, heated chalets (including two rustic round-log propane cabins set in the wild) and 12 fully equipped semi-detached units, sleeping 2 to 22 people, many with a lake view and a wood fire; a floating solar-and-propane houseboat (2 to 4 people) rounds out the offering.
