Le Balbuzard Sauvage is an Abitibi-Témiscamingue outfitter whose 300 km² exclusive territory holds more than 200 lakes — a true hunting and fishing paradise. The fishing is renowned for walleye over 10 lb and trophy pike, with a catch-and-release policy for large breeders. On the hunting side, three activities are offered: spring bear hunting, and fall moose and small-game hunting over a well-developed road network; a group can book exclusive use of the territory. Magnifique pavillon de chasse dans un cadre splendide. J'y ai séjourné lors d'un voyage en motoneige. Idéalement situé près du sentier, il dispose également d'une pompe à essence. Le chalet était un peu spartiate, mais convenable avec son poêle à bois. Il n'y avait ni télévision ni Wi-Fi dans le chalet, contrairement au pavillon qui offrait une connexion Wi-Fi correcte. Le dîner était raffiné, mais le choix était limité. On nous a proposé du chevreuil ou de la joue de porc. J'ai demandé s'il y avait d'autres options, comme du poisson, et on m'a répondu que non. En résumé, j'aurais préféré un repas plus simple et moins sophistiqué, avec un choix plus varié.
