Located in Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola in the Lanaudière region, Pourvoirie Service de Guide Roger Gladu is set in the heart of the Lac Saint-Pierre World Biosphere Reserve, an exceptional natural site recognized by UNESCO. Formed by the widening of the St. Lawrence River, this 480 km² territory comprises an archipelago of 103 islands creating a labyrinth of marshes, grass beds, bays, and channels, such as the Île aux Ours channel. Representing 40% of the wetlands remaining along the St. Lawrence River, this environment—90% of which remains wild—constitutes an aquatic and coastal habitat of remarkable biodiversity. Lac Saint-Pierre are home to 79 of the 116 freshwater fish species recorded in Quebec. Anglers encounter walleye, sauger, northern pike, muskellunge, lake sturgeon, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and carp, as well as yellow perch, burbot, channel catfish, brown bullhead, striped bass, whitefish, and redhorse. From an avian perspective, Lac Saint-Pierre protects the largest heronry in North America and forms one of the largest migratory waterfowl staging areas in the Atlantic Flyway. More than 288 bird species have been observed here, 167 of which nest in the area. Sport fishing is practiced through several packages: guided open-water excursions aboard 22-foot boats (150 HP) equipped with sonars to target walleye and pike (gear and fish cleaning included); carp fishing on prepared and pre-baited sites at Île Dupas with options for wild camping or cottage stays; and outings for groups and businesses tailored for friendly or corporate tournaments. The establishment notably hosts the Challenge Carpe Québec tournament. During the winter season, ice fishing is
in full swing thanks to a 24 km network of maintained and marked ice roads accessible by car, pickup truck, ATV, or snowmobile. Heated wood-stove cabins are set up directly on the lake, including hole drilling, tip-ups, jigging rods, and dead minnows. Guided waterfowl hunting takes place in marshes on private territory. Belle descente, le personnel est super amical. Beau gros stationnement et toilette propre. Ca fait 2 ans que je descend mon bateau la. C’est vraiment un beau spot. J’ai compte essayer les chalets cet automne.

Belle expérience pêche blanche! Chemin déneiger sur la glace les cabanes sont assez vieille en general mais parfait pour l’activité quand nous sommes arrivés tot le matin le poele a bois 🪵 etais déjà allumé et les trous sur l’eau déjà percé! Le poisson 🐟 n’était pas au rendez vous cette journée la mais la pêche c’est la pêche 🤷♂️

Bel endroit pour passer de la ville à la nature en quelques minutes. Nous avons loué une embarcation pour pêcher dans les îles. L'accueil était sympathique, le matériel de très grande qualité. Les îles de Sorel sont vraiment un bel endroit à découvrir.
