In winter, access is by snowmobile only (snowmobile transport from the village to the outfitter available on request). A $20-per-vehicle right-of-way fee (registration required) applies for ATV/truck/4x4 travel.

The aquatic fauna includes brook trout (including native populations and stocked lakes), northern pike, yellow perch, and walleye, for which catch-and-release is mandatory. The management of aquatic resources is carried out in collaboration with a team of biologists to ensure the sustainability of the species, notably through the prohibition of gas motors and the regulation of authorized hook types.
