Club Kapitachuan is an outfitter open since 1952, on a 360 km² exclusive-rights territory — one of the largest outfitters — laced with a network of rivers giving access to many lakes without portages (Pascagama, Ouiscatis, Canusio, Mesplet, among others). Fishing is king here: walleye, northern pike and lake trout (touladi), with 15-foot flat-bottom fibreglass boats and Mercury 20 HP 4-stroke motors. On the hunting side, you harvest black bear in spring (methodically baited sites, blinds at 3-5 m height) and moose in fall from remote camps in exclusive sectors (1 moose per pair of hunters), with small-game hunting included

alongside the moose package. Lodging is in 13 European-plan cabins (full kitchen) and 4 American-plan cabins (no kitchen, meals prepared by the chefs), all with a full bathroom, hot water, wood stove, 24h electricity and free Wi-Fi. Taken over in 2020 by François Chenail and Raymond Auger, who renovated the cabins and upgraded the boats and the wireless network. Access via gravel road 806 North. Many guests return every year, some for more than 50 years.
