From Senneterre: from the Ultramar gas station, take 10th Avenue and Rue du Parc, then Route 806 to Route 808; follow 808 (km markers 40, 22, 35, 63) to the 'Blue Walleye Outpost' signs leading to the parking area. Meeting point at the dock; the camp is visible about 1 mile across the lake. Radio contact on Channel 7. Suggested stop at the Ultramar station in Senneterre to fuel up and buy hunting and fishing licences.

Blue Walleye Outpost is located in the heart of Quebec's boreal forest on the shores of Lake Achepabanca, within hunting and fishing zone 13. Lake Achepabanca stretches six miles long and connects to three other lakes through a network of rivers, forming an aquatic territory of over 15 miles. The aquatic habitat consists of clear, cold waters, sandbanks, weed beds, shallow bays, as well as rocky structures and reefs. This environment is renowned for its sport fish populations. It is home to walleye as well as the rare blue walleye, a variety found in less than five percent of Canadian
water bodies. The waters also shelter northern pike, with some specimens exceeding 30 pounds, as well as brook trout in the surrounding streams and small lakes. On land, the territory covers over 30 kilometers of dense forests, peat bogs, marshes, and old logging roads. This diverse habitat supports big game, particularly black bear and moose. The forest cover also provides a home for small game, including ruffed grouse and spruce grouse, which frequent the trails and clearings.

On n'aurait pas pu rêver d'un meilleur séjour. La pêche était incroyable toute la semaine. Le campement est bien aménagé et offre tout le confort nécessaire pour un séjour en pleine nature. Tom s'occupe de tout avec brio. J'ai hâte d'y retourner.
