For anglers bringing their own boat, a boat launch and secure parking are available in the village of Kipawa. The taxi boats (including a 24-foot landing craft) do not run in high winds, thunderstorms or after dark.

Established in 1960 and run since 1988 by Barb and Wayne Moreau, it is first and foremost a fishing destination: Lake Kipawa is known for its walleye, northern pike, lake trout and smallmouth bass, with prime fishing spots minutes from the dock. The waterfront cabins are fully equipped and off-grid: 24-hour solar power, full kitchen (4-burner stove with oven, full-size electric fridge), hot shower, wood stove with unlimited firewood, outdoor BBQ and free WiFi.
