Private-island outfitter, reachable only by boat. The pick-up dock (boarding point) is at 560 Chemin de la Baie de Kipawa, in the village of Kipawa. Taxi-boat transport from the village is included in the Stay and Fish and Family Getaway packages; otherwise the round-trip transfer is $350. For anglers bringing their own boat, a boat launch and secure parking are available in the village of Kipawa. The taxi boats (including a 24-foot landing craft) do not run in high winds, thunderstorms or after dark.

Kipawa Lodge is a private-island outfitter on Lake Kipawa, in the Témiscamingue, reachable only by boat from the village of Kipawa. Established in 1960 and run since 1988 by Barb and Wayne Moreau, it is first and foremost a fishing destination: Lake Kipawa is known for its walleye, northern pike, lake trout and smallmouth bass, with prime fishing spots minutes from the dock. The waterfront cabins are fully equipped and off-grid: 24-hour solar power, full kitchen (4-burner stove with oven, full-size electric fridge), hot shower, wood stove with unlimited firewood, outdoor BBQ and free WiFi. (4 bedrooms, sleeps up to 8), Northern Lights (3 bedrooms, sleeps 2-6) and Shady Birches (3 bedrooms, sleeps 2-6). Que dire de plus que ce que les autres commentaires ont déjà dit ? Cet endroit est idéal pour pêcher, se détendre et profiter de la compagnie de sa famille et de ses amis. Wayne et Barb sont des hôtes exceptionnels. Vous vous sentirez toujours les bienvenus, de votre arrivée au quai de Kipawa jusqu'à votre départ. Les bateaux et les moteurs fonctionnent à merveille. Les chalets sont rustiques mais confortables et équipés de tout le nécessaire. Je pratique la pêche partout en Ontario depuis plus de 20 ans et, à mon avis, cet endroit est vraiment spécial. Je n'ai aucune intention d'aller ailleurs. Merci encore Wayne et Barb.

Wayne et Barb nous ont accueillis chaleureusement au Kipawa Lodge. Les bateaux et leurs moteurs étaient en excellent état, l'essence était facile à trouver et chaque bateau était équipé d'un sondeur. Notre chalet était confortable et bien équipé en ustensiles de cuisine. La pêche était excellente, et des cartes des meilleurs coins de pêche nous avaient été fournies. N'oubliez pas d'obtenir votre permis de pêche ZEC à Kipawa avant les 45 minutes de traversée en bateau jusqu'au lodge. Si vous recherchez une expérience authentique en pleine nature, le Kipawa Lodge est fait pour vous.

Nous avons eu la chance de découvrir le Kipawa Lodge et d'y passer une semaine en août 2020. Ce séjour a permis à ma famille de retrouver un semblant de normalité grâce à de superbes vacances d'été dont nous avions grand besoin. L'hébergement et la pêche étaient excellents, Barb et Wayne, nos hôtes, ont été aux petits soins pour nous, et surtout, le paysage magnifique et le calme des lieux ont fait de cette escapade familiale un véritable bonheur. Le départ a été difficile. Nous avons hâte d'y retourner l'année prochaine. Je recommande vivement le Kipawa Lodge aux familles et à tous ceux qui recherchent une authentique escapade dans le Grand Nord canadien. Difficile de trouver mieux ! Mon seul regret : ne pas y être allé plus tôt !

Encore un séjour parfait au Kipawa Lodge. Nos hôtes, Wayne et Barb, ont rendu notre séjour très agréable. Ils avaient de bons appâts, des chalets propres et la pêche était exceptionnelle. Nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Kipawa Lodge. Wayne, Barb et toute l'équipe ont été d'une hospitalité remarquable et la nourriture était délicieuse. Après deux jours de pêche infructueux, Wayne nous a suggéré une autre méthode et notre troisième jour fut formidable. Nous espérons y revenir dans quelques années.
